Ford Farm is a working farm, creative space, and reprieve in Southwest Michigan.
Ford Farm is in partnership with Michigan State University. The relationship with MSU and the Long Term Agroecosystem Research has turned our tillable acreage into a showcase farm for sustainable agricultural practices, soil conservation and watershed management. MSU is taking best practices from small farming and putting them into practice on a larger scale.
Hold Your Next Educational Event at Ford Farm
Ford Farm seeks to maintain the rustic and natural aspects of the farming property. For those who are seeking to host educational events, workshops, gatherings or retreats in a beautifully renovated minimalist space.
Gatherings, workshops and celebrations
Ford Farm offers a rentable yard or barn space for educational purposes. We have 60 chairs available and a nicely shaded yard. Both the barn and the yard provide shade and a beautiful West breeze to keep you cool. The area is wonderful for hosting a workshop, gatherings of all types or a special celebration. Please note that our focus remains on education, sustainable agricultural practices and ecological conservation. Groups of this nature will receive first priority in booking and special consideration.
What We’re Up To Next
We are putting in prairie strips along the road both to beautify the roadside and provide Creative Seed better access paths to the Augusta Creek but to also benefit local pollinators. Look for walking paths soon that move off the road and through the roadway easement on our property to help connect residents of Hickory Corners via a walking path.
